Mosaic (Local programming) team member: Passport camp, WIN collaboration

This is a great volunteer opportunity that has nothing to do with international travel, its about bringing CISV principals to our local community, through programs and events close to home! Our week long Passport day camp for youth ages 5-10 years old is one of our programs.  We hope to run it in 2024, and are looking for a Mosaic team members to organize it.  Our Junior Branch teens are integral in the running of the camp. Our community garden used to be another, but we had to stop that in 2020-COVID. Our new Mosaic project is a collaboration with Welcoming Immigrant Neighbors -Bangor (WIN-Bangor).  We share many of the same values and interests, and both of our organizations have a youth and family focus.  Our hope is to connect our CISV families with WIN families--individually and in groups,--for cross cultural support and community building.  The Mosaic team member will assist with this collaboration, learn about WIN, provide info about to our CISV families and organize periodic get togethers to bring WIN and CISV families together.  Or do a call out for donations of household items needed by WIN families... Lots of possibilities!
