Summer Camp programs were renamed Step Up in 2012, they are aimed at slightly older children than the Village. Step Up camps encourage participants to take initiatives towards leadership and responsibility for program planning. In addition to promoting the CISV philosophy, each Camp focuses on a specific educational theme, aiming to overcome prejudices, build self-confidence and stimulate critical thinking, through activities and discussion. Delegations come from 6 or 9 countries and work together. The camp is coordinated by adult staff.
Cost
The program cost is estimated to be around $3000. This includes the program, travel for delegate and ¼ travel for leader. Final program cost will be available at the parent orientation. In addition, families can expect to support all other costs of preparation such as passport, visa, booklets, national costume, host family gifts, spending money, emergency money and other Step Up preparation costs.
