President Elect

A great position for someone who loves CISV, has basic understanding of it, good communication, organization and delegation skills!  We have a 3 role president system, so that at no point the President is doing the role on their own. The President Elect shadows and assists the President for one year, (starting June 2021), and then assumes role of President for 2 year term (June 2022-4).  During the first year of the 2 year term, the past president assists the president, and during the second year of the term, the president elect assists. Duties of President include:
  1. Preside at all regular (1st Mondays of the month, 6-8pm) and special meetings of the Chapter and of the Board of Directors.
  2. Be an Ex-Officio member of ALL Committees.
  3. Appoint chairs and fill officer vacancies in consultation with the Board of Directors.
  4. Work with Chapter Representative to ensure that all reports and necessary forms are submitted to CISV National in a timely manner 
  5. Direct liaison/communicator with National office--attends monthly virtual meeting (usually 2nd Thursdays 8-9pm) with chapter presidents from all over the country
