CISV is more than just an organization for youth! Every year, our dedicated and passionate volunteers of all ages give their expertise, skills, life experience, energy, and time to run our Chapter, programs, and Junior Branch. Members are not required to travel to be a part of CISV! We offer regular local activities and service projects, so your child can become a part of an organization that is inclusive and fun. Parents and siblings are encouraged to attend, too. Ways to get involved:
Participate in a CISV program!
- Local programs – Join the Junior Branch, attend a Chapter Event, or come to a local “Mosaic” program, such as “Harvest for the Homeless”
- Travel programs – CISV Maine offers travel opportunities to CISV International Programs. Each year in early November, we reveal our program invitations for the upcoming year.
- Locally hosted programs – We also host CISV International programs locally. A great way to get involved is to become a host family for a few days and meet CISV delegates from around the world!

Become a Member – Membership supports our chapter.
Volunteer – A way for adults and youth to make a difference! Volunteering for your chapter is rewarding as it’s usually something that parents and children can do together. You may make some life-long friends in the process.
Donate – A way to achieve our mission to educate and inspire action for a more just and peaceful world. Our chapter raises funds to host CISV programs and to provide local experiences in their membership and communities.
